Advocates in Dubai

Advocates in Dubai means the legal experts in Dubai. These can be of two types. The first one are the local lawyers, also called as UAE National Lawyers or Advocates and the others are expatriates. These lawyers or advocates can call themselves advocates because they also took the degree or professional education from their countries, but you can't call them Advocate in Emirates. They need a license too, to practice in UAE but as a legal consultant only. They can't appear in Court, so technically you can't call them the lawyers or the Advocates. It is proved that just UAE Nationals can be Advocates or called as Advocates because:

  • They can only appear in Court Hearings, Court Cases and Court Representations. 
  • The others are only Legal Consultants, and they can't attend the Court Sessions, and they can't give the Power of Attorney to Clients on their Names. The Power of Attorney can only be made on the name of, and given to the Emirati Lawyer and Legal Consultant.
